The Indian Railways has been making several arrangements to clear the passenger rush on account of Holi 2019. It has not only strengthened the security but has also announced several pairs of special trains. However, in another move which may cause a bit of trouble, the railways has decided to keep PRS counters closed for 6 hours on March 21.

On the occasion of Holi festival, only partial services will be available at PRS ticket counters between 08.00 am to 2.00 pm at IRC Reservation Complex, New Delhi, Delhi Junction and at Hazrat Nizamuddin station. However, all the services will be available in the evening shift.

Indian Railways reservation counters at Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Okhla, Karkarduma, Shahdara, Adarsh Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Tughlakabad, Shakurbasti, Rohini, AIIMS, International Tourist Bureau, Ghaziabad, Noida, Sabzi Mandi, Anand Vihar Terminal, Sahibabad, New Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Palam, Delhi Cantt, Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Palwal, Narela, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Mansa, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh, Nangloi, Shamli, Muradnagar, Modinagar, Meerut Cantt, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli, Darul Uloom Deoband, Baraut, Gohana, Patodi Road, Jhajjar, Greater Noida, Nauli, Meham Town, Saket Court, Dwarka Court, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Shakurbasti, Samalkha, Ganaur, Shahabad Markanda, Jakhal, Tohana, Johana, Narwana, and at Chaudhary Charan Singh University (MTC) will be closed for the morning shift (8am to 2 pm).

However, PRS counters at Parliament House, Press Club of India, Supreme Court, University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, IIT, Tees Hajari, High Court, Kashmiri Gate, and at Railway Board will be closed for the whole day on 21.03.2019.

On the other hand, Tatkal Reservation Counters at New Delhi, Delhi Junction, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminal, Meerut City and Delhi Sarai Rohilla will work as per schedule.
