HDFC Bank in its KG Marg branch in national capital Delhi will surprise visitors pleasantly on their next visit. Customers will now be welcomed by IRA 2.0, an interactive humanoid, who will also answer bank-related queries, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and also guide them inside the branch with voice-based navigation. This information was given by a senior bank official during a programme organised at the bank today.

Senior HDFC Bank officials said that the bank is extending better services using technology to enhance user experience for customers, adding that the IRA 2.0 will be mapped according to available services and needs of the customers in Delhi and then will be deputed in a branch office of the bank here.

Notably, HDFC Bank launched interactive humanoid IRA 2.0 at the Koramangala Branch in Bengaluru in April, 2018 to assist customers visiting the branch.

HDFC Bank developed IRA (Interactive Robotic Assistant) 2.0 in collaboration with its technology partners Invento Makerspaces and Senseforth Technologies.

It became the first bank in the country to introduce a humanoid IRA 1.0 for customer service at the Kamala Mills Branch in Mumbai last January. IRA 1.0 is currently stationed at the Palarivattom Branch in Kochi.
