Haryana Lockdown Extended News: The Haryana government has decided to extend the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in the state till August 23, 2021. However, certain relaxations have been allowed. The Haryana State Disaster Management Authority has extended the lockdown restrictions which is called the 'Mahamari Alert - Surakshit Haryana' till August 23, 2021.

News agency ANI has tweeted from its official Twitter handle regarding the extension of the lockdown restrictions in Haryana and the relaxations allowed. The ANI tweet said, "COVID restrictions under 'Surakshit Haryana' extended till Aug 23 with some relaxations. Restaurants, bars, gyms, spas allowed to open with 50% seating capacity. All shops and malls are allowed to open with social distancing norms. Swimming pools allowed to open with COVID norms."

 

In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 infections, the state of Haryana declared a lockdown in the state from May 3, 2021. The same has been extended time to time on a weekly basis and certain relaxations have been allowed.

As per the order issued by the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority, the following relaxations are allowed. They are as follows:

1) The restaurants and bars (including hotels and malls) are allowed to open with 50 per cent of the seating capacity and adopting the COVID-19 protocols

2) Gyms and spas are allowed to open with 50 per cent capacity and maintaining requisite COVID-19 protocols

3) Club houses/ bars/ restaurants of golf courses allowed to open with 50 per cent seating capacity. The members will be allowed to play golf in a staggered manner to avoid overcrowding.

4) All shops and malls are allowed to open with strict adherence to COVID-19 norms.

5) Swimming pools allowed to open after adopting requisite social distancing norms. All swimmers, visitors and staff preferable to get both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
