The Department of Post i.e. Indiapost is doing a free doorstep delivery of the national flag 'tricolour' for the celebration of Independence Day as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

On its official website - epostoffice.gov.in, the flag can be bought for only Rs 25. The national flag will be available without a pole and the dimensions will be 20 inches and 30 inches in length and width respectively.

Citizens can also buy the national flag by going directly to the Post Office.

The post office will be open on holidays during Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav, the nation's 75th Independence Day celebration.

The Indian flag may now fly at homes day and night thanks to a change to the Flag Code of India. Previously, only between dawn and dusk could the Tricolour be flown.

Here is how you can buy the flag online at from the Post department's website -

Step 1 - Open the link epostoffice.gov.in and sign up
Step 2 - Enter your credentials and log in
Step 3 - Go to the "Products" tab and click on the "National Flag"
Step 4 - Click "Buy now" and then re-enter your mobile number once more as well as double-check the OTP.
Step 5 - Click on "Proceed to payment"
Step 6 - The cost of each flag is Rs 25. Hence, pay the amount for the number of flags you have chosen with your preferred payment option.

According to the Department of Post, the customer must place an order on the post office website, pay for it. After that the flags will be delivered to them from the nearest post office that has them in stock.
