Forty-year-old Gadhvi comes from a prosperous farming family in the Pipaliya village in the Dwarka district.

Isudan Gadhvi has studied in Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, and Khambaliya, and holds a degree in commerce. In addition, in 2005, he graduated with a master's degree in journalism and mass communication from Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad.

At the young age of 32, he advanced from being a budding journalist to editor of VTV News. He began receiving numerous requests to resolve people's problems as a result of his shows' emphasis on the challenges faced by the common man.

Former TV journalists and host Gadhvi, ran a programme called 'Mahamanthan' on VTV News, usually from 8 to 9 p.m.

On June 14, 2021, Gadhvi formally joined the AAP in Kejriwal's presence in Ahmedabad. The TV anchor left the life of the studio and entered politics.

According to AAP, the party decided on Gadhvi's name based on suggestions made by the state's citizens.

Gopal Italia, Isudan Gadhvi, and Manoj Soratihya were apparently vying for the position, according to reports.

Polling for the 182-member Gujarat Assembly will take place next month in two phases — on December 1 and 5, and results will be announced on December 8.

While announcing Aam Aadmi Party's representative for upcoming Gujarat assembly elections, Kejriwal said, "Today AAP is not announcing the party's CM face but it is announcing the next Chief Minister of Gujarat." Kejriwal said there is a wave in favour of AAP and that all opinion polls will be proved wrong when the Gujarat Assembly poll results are declared.

In support of his claims, Kejriwal said, "In the past when AAP contested Delhi Assembly elections for the first time, no opinion poll was giving a single seat to AAP. However, the party won 28 seats and formed the government. In Punjab, the AAP has proved opinion polls wrong. Even in Gujarat, the opinion polls are going to be proven wrong this time."
