Group D Exam: Indian Railways is conducting the Computer Based Test (CBT) for RRB Group D posts for filling up 60,000 posts. The exam is being conducted into three shifts a day. The exam city and date information are live for candidates scheduled to take the exam from 17.09.2018 to 16.10.2018. However, some candidates have missed their Group D exam of September 24 due to Rail Roko protest in South Eastern Railway and September 26 exam due to West Bengal Bandh.

The railways had said that it will provide these candidates with another chance to take the exam after October 16. The exam city, date and shift details were scheduled to get released on September 30. However, now the railways has said that the details will be made available from October 5 and the candidates will be informed via email/messages for the same.

"The Exam City and Date information is live for candidates scheduled from 17.09.2018 to 16.10.2018. For all remaining candidates the details will be live from 05.10.2018 onwards," said the railways.

Those affected by Rail Roko protest had been asked by the RRB Kolkata to submit their details for verification by sending an email to kolrrb@gmail.com.

"Candidates who could not appear in the Computer Based Test(CBT) due to disruption of train service in South Eastern Railway on 24.09.2018 (due to Rail Roko) will be given an opportunity to appear in CBT after 16.10.2018. Affected candidates are advised to submit their details (Name, Registration  No., DOB), copy of e - call letter and a copy of Railway  ticket (if available) to RRB/Kolkata’s email address: kolrrb@gmail.com for verification of records," said the RRB Kolkata.

Around 1.9 crore candidates have applied for the 60,000 Group D posts.
