Gold price today in India: Both 24 karat gold and 22 karat gold in India saw a decline. Yellow metal was trading lower by 0.05% at Rs 30,530 per 10 grams in futures trade today after participants cut positions amid a weak global trend. This was despite, global gold prices trading steady on Monday. 
 
24 karat: Data given by GoodReturns.In, showed that, 24 karat gold in 10 gram was available at Rs 31,880 on Monday, down by Rs 150 from their previous day price of Rs 32,030. While 100 gram gold in the same karat tumbld by a massive Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,18,800 as against their previous day price of Rs 3,20,300. 1 gram and 8 gram gold also saw decline on Monday by Rs 15 and Rs 120 respectively.

22 karat: Similarly, 10 gram gold in 22 karat declined by Rs 130 and was valued at Rs 29,810 if compared with the previous day prices of Rs 29,940. Also, 100 gram in 22 karat stood at Rs 2,98,100 lower by Rs 1,300 in comparison with previous day price of Rs 2,99,400. 1 gram and 8 gram gold in the same karat plunged by Rs 13 and Rs 104 respectively. 

Meanwhile, at the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in June was trading lower by Rs 15, or 0.05%, at Rs 30,530 per ten grams in a business turnover of 28 lots.

Analysts in a PTI report said, "offloading of positions by traders following a weak trend overseas as the dollar held steady after data showed the US economy added a larger-than-expected number of jobs in February influenced gold prices in futures trade."

Moreover, global spot gold was steady on Monday at $1,323.60 an ounce.
On the other hand, silver metal prices remained unchanged on Monday, as 1 kg of silver was valued at Rs 41,500, and that of 100 gram at Rs 4,150.
