For the past five days, the country has been reporting less than 3 lakh daily covid cases. As per the latest data, India has reported 2,59,551 new Covid-19 cases and 4,209 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The total caseload in the country now stands at 26.03 million, with a death toll of 2,91,331. Amid the decrease in the new cases and positivity rate, high deaths and rising cases of black fungus is a concern.

India is currently in the third phase of the vaccination drive and people in the age group of 18 to 44 are getting vaccinated.

Here are some of the do's and don'ts suggested by the government of India while you are registering for the vaccination or is getting vaccinated:

Do's

1. Register online through Co-Win or Aarogya Setu or Umang platform.

2. Register against only one phone number and one ID proof.

3. Carry ID proof when you go for vaccination.

4. Search for the nearest vaccination centre online and select centre convenient for vaccination.

5. To receive a Health ID as part of the registration for vaccination, give your consent.

6. Reach the vaccination centre on the specified date and time.

7. Wait for 30 minutes at the vaccination centre after getting vaccinated. Inform if any side effect(s) is experienced within 30 minutes.

8. Inform Helpline Number: +91-11-23978048 (Toll free- 1075) in case of any side effect after leaving the vaccination centre.

9. Continue precautions of social distancing and wearing masks.

Don'ts:

1. Walk-in without appointment.

2. Register for one person on multiple platforms.

3. Register for one person using multiple phone number and multiple ID proof.

4. Consume alcohol or other intoxicants on the day of vaccination.

5. panic in case of side effects.

6. Register again for second dose.
