IIT Delhi has finally begun the correction process in vital details such as change Examination City, Examination Paper, Candidate Name, Gender, Category, Father's Name, College Name etc for GATE 2020 examination.

If any of the candidates have made an error while filling the form need to login to the GOAPS portal ie. gate.iitd.ac.in and make the necessary correction in the form.

Notably, IIT Delhi will release the admit cards on January 3, 2019. Once the admit cards are been released there will be no chance to update, correct or make changes in the given details.

GATE 2020 Examination will be held on February 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Tentative) and afternoon: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM (Tentative). IIT Delhi examinations will be computer-based and it will be conducted for 25 subjects.

Also, IIT Delhi has also released a mock test and the link for the same can be found on the official GATE 2020 website. Further, the announcement of the results in the online application Portal will be done till 16th March 2020.

Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to: (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other government agencies.

Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MHRD scholarship/assistantship, the GATE qualification is mandatory. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.
