Indian Railway Chhath Puja special trains: In order to clear the heavy rush in trains coming to the national capital after Chhath Puja in Bihar, the Indian Railways has started a number of trains. The two-day Chhath festival ended today. The Chhath festival is celebrated on the sixth day after Diwali. Chhath Puja relives the age-old tradition of paying obeisance to the Sun God. Every year, the festival commences with paying oblation to the setting sun and concludes with paying obeisance to the rising sun.

Chhath was celebrated with fervor in Bihar, Delhi and sever other states of the country. In Patna, all roads in the city led to the Ganga on Tuesday as lakhs of people made a beeline to the myriad ghats, all sparkling clean and decked up to receive the devotees taking part in Chhath Puja. In Delhi, thousands of worshippers, mainly women, paid obeisance to the setting Sun along the Yamuna riverbank on the occasion of Chhath on Tuesday, as traditional folk songs played in the background.
