The Delhi government Wednesday recognised around 20 hotspots in the national capital and sealed them in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. So far, around 576 people have been tested positive in Delhi and seven deaths have been reported from the city. In the sealed areas, people will not be allowed to enter and exit, with medical services being an exemption.

"Some positive cases have been reported in Sadar area so the area has been sealed. Total 20 hotspots have been identified in Delhi, nobody will be allowed to enter or exit from these areas," said Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said.

Sisodia also warned residents that those stepping outdoors have to wear face masks compulsorily or else action will be taken against those not following it.

A similar decision has been in adjoining state of Uttar Pradesh where the Yogi Adityanath government has identified 15 districts and has sealed hotspots in all these regions
