However, there is an attempt being made by some charitable organization and auto drivers to tackle this crisis. Delhi government Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh while launching this free ‘Auto Ambulance’ service said, " I salute the organisation and auto drivers who have come forward to help in this hour of crisis. Delhi needs oxygen cylinder, oxygen plant and oxygen concentrator, whoever can help should come forward."

These autos come equipped with oxygen cylinders, sanitisers and drivers of these auto ambulances wear in PPE kit. Informing about this auto service, Aam Aadmi Party MP said this is a free service and 20 more such autos will be pressed into service from May 6.  Covid 19 patients in need of this service, can book it through two numbers—9818430043 and 011-41236614

Any COVID-19 patient with mild symptoms requiring oxygen support can now contact auto-ambulances for reaching a hospital as 10 such modified three-wheelers were launched in Delhi. The auto ambulances were launched by AAP in association with TYCIA Foundation on Tuesday.

These auto-ambulances have been started with an objective to ensure that patients with mild symptoms and having oxygen levels between 85 to 90 can reach nearby hospitals in time, a statement said.
