The Maharaja of the skies, Air India, is offering up to 25 per cent discount on domestic flight tickets, making the most ideal time to pull off that family trip you have been planning for months now. The discount comes as part of Air India's 'Ghumo India family fare'. The national carrier on its official website says that this new offer is being extended to promote heritage sites and prominent tourist destination in India. Under this offer, families travelling together will get discounted tickets.

To avail this offer, you must have minimum three or maximum six members in the family. Notably, the 25 per cent discount is also applicable on domestic return travel. So, the passengers need to keep in mind that the offer is not applicable on one-way travel. The discount is valid on Air India operated flights only. In order to avail this discount, the family must travel together for the entire journey. The offer is valid for travel from September 1, 2019, to March 31, 2020.

Also, your journey should at least of two days. So, if you plan to return on the same date, you won't be able to get the offer. Air India's website mentions that proof of family identification is required to be checked at the time of ticketing. This could be any government-issued document indicating the family members name. Individual photo identification may also be verified at the time of check-in.

In case of cancellation, normal fare rules for date change, cancellation and refund etc. will apply.

Meanwhile, the carrier has recently announced a new flight between New Delhi and Toronto. The inaugural flight to Toronto started on 27th September, which was also the World Tourism Day. The flight connecting Delhi to Toronto will run thrice a week from tomorrow. The flights on the route will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. "National carrier Air India is all set to launch its Delhi to Toronto non-stop with convenient connection from Amritsar and other cities fulfilling a long-standing desire from the travel fraternity here and the Indian diaspora in Canada," it said in a press statement.
