Further, the circular mentions that this restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the civil aviation watchdog.

"However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis," the circular reads.

The DGCA earlier notified those travelers undertaking air journeys should adhere to COVID-19 protocols. This includes wearing of mask properly i.e. not below the nose, during all times of the journey from entering the Airport for departure to exiting the airport after arrival. The protocol also includes maintaining social distancing while being on the airport premises.

The Airport Director/ Terminal Manager must ensure that passengers are wearing masks properly and do maintain social distance at all time within the Airport premises. In case, any passenger is not following COVID-10 protocol, they should be handed over to security agencies after proper warnings.

Onboard the Aircraft, in case any passenger does not adhere to wearing of mask properly even after repeated warnings, he/she should be de-boarded, if need be, before departure.
