FASTag has been made mandatory on national highways throughout the country from December 1, 2019. It is a simple to use, reloadable tag fixed on the windscreen of a vehicle which enables automatic deduction of toll charges from the prepaid or savings to account linked to it while the vehicle is in motion. A user receives an SMS alert on his registered mobile number for all the transactions done in his tag account. The vehicle with FASTag doesn't need to stop at toll plazas for cash transactions, saving fuel and time.
