Flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport might get affected due to bad weather and heavy rains in the national capital and adjoining cities, said SpiceJet and Vistara on Twitter on Wednesday.

The airlines requested passengers to check updated flight information before leaving for the airport.

"Due to bad weather (heavy rain) in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may get affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status via book.spicejet.com/FlightStatus," the airline tweeted.

"Due to bad weather (Heavy Rainfall) expected in Delhi, Arrivals/Departures are likely to get impacted. Please visit airvistara.com or SMS UK<Flight no.> to 9289228888 to check the updated flight status," Vistara tweeted.

"As per IMD (India Meteorological Department) report, thundershower with moderate intensity to heavy intensity rain with gusty winds would occur over Delhi and adjoining areas. Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly," it tweeted.

The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 33 degrees Celsius.
