Delhi to Lucknow Tejas Express to run 6 days a week, Indian Railways reveals and Sunday will not be off day
In a bid to provide relief to the passengers, the Indian Railways has decided to run Tejas Express six days a week on New Delhi to Lucknow rail route.
Indian Railways alert! In a bid to provide relief to the passengers, the Indian Railways has decided to run Tejas Express six days a week on New Delhi to Lucknow rail route. The regular services of the Tejas Express will begin from New Delhi Junction on 5th October 2019 while from Lucknow, Tejas Express will be available for passengers from 6th October 2019. To and fro Lucknow to Delhi and Delhi to Lucknow Tejas Express will be available on all weekdays except on Tuesday.
The India Railways informed about the development in a written press statement citing, " It is notified for the information of the general public that for the convenience of the rail passengers, Railways have decided to run a new six days a week Tejas Express Train No. 82502/82501 between New Delhi and Lucknow Junction." The press statement further informed that Tejas Express will run six days a week except on Tuesday.

Detailing about the commencement of the Tejas Express, the Indian Railways informed, "The regular service of 82502 New Delhi- Lucknow ( NE) six days a week Tejas Express Train will commence from 05.10.2019. The 82502 New Delhi- Lucknow ( NE) six days a week Tejas Express Train will depart from New Delhi at 03.35 PM from 05.10.2019 to reach Lucknow ( NE) at 10.05 PM the same day. The regular service of 82501 Lucknow ( NE) – New Delhi Tejas Express Train will commence from 06.10.2019. The 82501 Lucknow ( NE) – New Delhi Tejas Express Train will depart from Lucknow ( NE) at 06.10 AM from 06.10.2019 to reach New Delhi at 12.25 PM the same day."
The Tejas Express will comprise of one Executive AC Chair Car and nine AC Chair Car coaches, the 82502/82501 New Delhi- Lucknow ( NE) – New Delhi Tejas Express Train will stop at Kanpur & Ghaziabad stations en route in both the directions. Inaugural Run of Lucknow to New Delhi Tejas Express Special Train on 04.10.2019. On its inaugural run, Lucknow to New Delhi Tejas Express Special Train shall depart from Lucknow Junction at 09.30 AM on 04.10.2019 to arrive at New Delhi at 04.00 PM the same day. En route, it will stop at Kanpur & Ghaziabad Stations.
