Delhi temperature, weather forecast today:  The national capital is likely to witness a mainly clear sky on Friday, with the maximum temperature expected to settle at 24 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius, which is one notch above normal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) noted. The relative humidity at 8:30 am was 83 per cent. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 198 at 9 am, which is in the moderate category. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
Northwest India is expected to witness normal rainfall in February while cold wave days in the region are less likely, the IMD said.

Churu and Chittorgarh were the coldest places in Rajasthan in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, a Met Office spokesperson said. The minimum temperature in Churu was at 3 degrees Celsius while Chittorgarh recorded 3.1 degrees.

The weather remained dry in the state and no large changes were witnessed in any division, the official said. Karauli recorded a minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 4.8 degrees each in Bhilwara and Anta, 5.4 degrees in Sangaria, 6.1 degrees in Dabok, 6.3 degrees in Sirohi, 6.4 degrees in Phalodi, 6.6 degrees in Bikaner and 6.8 degrees in Pilani.

Most major places across the state recorded minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am. The minimum and maximum temperatures in Jaipur were recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees, respectively.

Jammu & Kashmir weather  

The weather was dry in J&K during the last 24 hours as the MeT office said on Thursday that dry weather in Jammu and light rain and snow at isolated places in Kashmir division is likely during the next 24 hours. "Weather would remain dry in Jammu division with chances of light rain/snow at isolated places in the Valley during next 24 hours," an official of the Meteorological (MeT) department said.  

Srinagar had 0.4, Pahalgam minus 2.9 and Gulmarg minus 7.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.  

In the Ladakh region, Kargil had minus 15.6 and Leh minus 11 as the minimum temperature. Jammu had 7.5, Katra 8.1, Batote 4.1, Banihal 1.4 and Bhaderwah minus 0.2 as the minimum temperature.
