Delhi Metro trains run across Delhi and wider NCR till 11 pm every night, but a change in timing has been made on Diwali day.Trains from all Delhi Metro lines, including Airport Express line will be available till 10 pm rather than 11 pm on the night of Diwali from all terminal stations.

To manage crowds and maintain smooth functioning, DMRC has deployed additional marshals on the crowded stations like Botanical Garden, Rajiv Chowk, Hauz Khas and others. Delhi Metro Diwali Service starting time will be 6 am on all lines. However, on Airport Express line, first train will start at 4.45 am.  

So, on Diwali day, Delhi Metro will run till 10 pm on 7 November. Aside from Metro authorities, police and civic agencies have also been deployed to ensure teh public faces no inconvenience on Diwali.

In addition, Nagar Nigam employees are busy cleaning  residential areas and roads and they will keep up teh campaign day after Diwali too, reported Hindustan. To avoid traffic in main market or public place on this Diwali and Chhatth Puja, around 4,000 traffic policemen have been given charge.

Apart from this more help will be taken in case of need from nearby police stations. Parking facilities are being arranged properly by Market Association Officials to reduce traffic jams due to illegal parking, Hindustan added.
