Delhi Air Pollution AQI: On Wednesday morning, Delhi's air quality slipped into the 'very poor' category as low temperatures and slow surface winds allowed the accumulation of pollutants. As per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the overall Air Quality India (AQI) in stands in Delhi at 280.

The India Meteorological Department(IMD), Delhi informed that it has recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius, the lowest this season so far. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 27 degrees Celsius.

An ANI report on Tuesday stated that the air quality in the national capital continued to remain in the 'very poor' category on yesterday. However, strong winds can improve the situation marginally, as per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR).

As per the SAFAR, the PM 10 levels were recorded at 249 in the 'moderate' category and PM 2.5 levels were recorded at 139 in the very poor category.

It must be noted that an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 is 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 is 'moderate', 201 and 300 is 'poor', 301 and 400 is 'very poor' and 401 and 500 is 'severe'.

The ANI report further informed that with an aim to curb air pollution, the Delhi government on Sunday has extended the ban imposed on the entry of trucks in Delhi carrying non-essential items till November 26, 2021. The Delhi government has also asked its employees to continue working from home till Friday.

The government has further asked the private offices and institutions to let their employees work from home till November 26, 2021 in order to reduce the number of vehicles on road.
