De De Pyaar De box office collection: Ajay Devgn starrer comedy De De Pyaar De continues to do well at the box office, despite the ongoing Lok Sabha election fever. The film was hit over the weekend due to Lok Sabha polling but gained some lost ground over the weekdays to complete a healthy week. On Thursday, the Akiv Ali directorial raked in Rs 4.48 crore, taking its overall collection to Rs 61.05 crore. De De Pyaar De, which also stars Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh, has two more weeks to add to its collections before Salman Khan starrer Bharat hits the theatres.

In another tweet, Adarsh said that the second week will be crucial for the film as Narendra Modi's biopic and India's Most Wanted are also releasing on Friday and can eat into De De Pyaar De's market share. "#DeDePyaarDe has a healthy Week 1... Had a decent *extended* weekend, but covered lost ground with a strong run on weekdays... Weekend 2 is extremely crucial, since multiple new films will eat into the market share. #DDPD," he tweeted. 

Meanwhile, the other big release of the recent time, Student of The Year 2 has exhausted itself at the B.O. and the collections remain on the lower side. The film is unlikely to pick up over the weekend and will finish well below the Rs 100 crore mark it was expected to challenge, if not breach. Its overall collection at the end of second week stands at Rs 68.91 crore.
