Chitra Ramkrishna, Managing Director & CEO, National Stock Exchange steps from her post on Friday. NSE is going to be listed on BSE early next year.

The stock exchange names J. Ravichandran, currently serving as Group President at NSE, as new Chief Executive on interim basis.

As per the statement, the exchange will start selection process for new MD & CEO soon. 

The statment also mentioned that Ramkrishna resigned due to personal reasons. But, there were reports that she decided to step down due to differences with several board members on the issues related to the future's exchange. 

In a meeting held on August 22, the stock exchange decided to engage four joint global coordinators.This included, the Citigroup Global Markets India Private Ltd, JM Financial Institutional Securities Limited, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, and Morgan Stanley India Company Private. 

The National exchange had said it was committed to the listing of its shares at the earliest. 

The NSE Board had expressed a desire to file the DRHP (draft red herring prospectus) latest by January 2017 for the listing of its share. The NSE's board had also advised the management to file for overseas listing by April 2017.
