Dabangg 3 box office collection day 4: If it was any other Bollywood film, a collection of Rs 91 crore in the first five days would have led to a success party. And, while Dabangg 3 makers might host one as well, it is the recent box office record of Salman Khan that makes all trade analysts feel that the film has underperformed. While Dabangg 3's below par box office performance can largely be attributed to the protests happening across India, the Salman Khan starrer now faces the uphill task to recover lost ground.

The positive thing for Dabangg 3 is that there are several holidays in the coming week including Christmas and New Year. And, even though it will face tough competition from Akshay Kumar's Good Newwz, it has a clear window on Tuesday evening and Wednesday i.e. Christmas.

On Monday, Dabangg 3's box office collection dropped to Rs 10.70 crore from Rs 31.90 crore on Sunday. After this, the film's overall collection stands at Rs 91.85 crore.

"#Dabangg3 collects in double digits on Day 4... Not performing at optimum levels... Needs to recover lost ground today [evening onwards] + tomorrow [#Christmas]... Fri 24.50 cr, Sat 24.75 cr, Sun 31.90 cr, Mon 10.70 cr. Total: ₹ 91.85 cr. #India biz. Note: All versions," movie critic, business analyst and influencer Taran Adarsh tweeted.

In another tweet, he said that New Year holidays should prove advantageous for Dabangg 3.

"#Dabangg3 also needs to sustain *after Week 1*, since it faces a new, big opponent [#GoodNewwz], which is expected to make a dent in its screens, shows and most importantly, market share... #NewYear holidays ahead should prove advantageous," Adarsh tweeted.

Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 2 witnessed a jump in its collection and should benefit from Christmas holiday too. "#Mardaani2 gathers speed on [second] Mon... In fact, [second] Mon records higher numbers than [second] Fri... Will definitely benefit from #Christmas holiday tomorrow [Wed]... [Week 2] Fri 1.15 cr, Sat 1.95 cr, Sun 2.55 cr, Mon 1.25 cr. Total: ₹ 34.95 cr. #India biz," Adarsh tweeted.
