CTET December 2019: For the 13th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the examination will be held on December 8, 2019. The board will release the detail information for the CTET 2019 exam in the upcoming week, and then the application process will commence. The CTET examination will be conducted in 110 cities across the country in as many as 20 languages.

The process of online application for CTET in December will commence from August 19 and end on September 18, 2019. Interested candidates can submit CTET December 2019 application fee until 3:30 pm on September 23, 2019. Notably, CTET is the minimum qualification assessment test for those who wish to become a teacher.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is divided into two papers: Paper I - Primary stage (for classes 1 to 5) teachers; while Paper II - Elementary stage (for classes 6 to 8) teachers.

About 3.52 lakh candidates qualified CTET July exam result declared on July 30. Of this 2.15 lakh qualified in Paper -1, and 1.37 lakh qualified in Paper-2. Candidates should know that the validity of CTET certificate is for seven years.

The CTET certificate is the minimum eligibility to get the teaching job. Once you get the certificate, you can apply for vacant positions of teachers at KVS, NVS Army Teacher, ERDO, etc.

Notably, the rationale for including the TET as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher because of reasons given below: 

1. It would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process
2. It would induce education institutions and students from these institutions to improve their performance standards
3. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality
