Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said the chances of the third wave of Covid are quite real and the Delhi government is preparing on war-footing to combat it.

Kejriwal on Saturday said that in order to prepare for the third wave, Delhi is taking the necessary steps.

"The chances of the third wave of Covid-19 are real. Delhi government is working on a war footing to prepare for the third wave," Kejriwal said.

For the same, the state government has added 22 PSA oxygen plants, starting from 9 different hospitals in Delhi.

Currently, 27 plants are operational in Delhi. At the same time, the Central government has also started 6 new plants and is planning to roll out 7 more plants in Delhi.

Kejriwal thanked the people of Delhi for showing their support in combating the second Covid wave and showed gratitude to the industry sector for extending their support in this fight.

He added that the cases are still surging however the intensity is low.

The total number of Covid-19 cases registered in Delhi till Thursday, June 10, was 14.3 lakh. The number of recovered cases was 14 lakh and the deaths were 24,743.
