Modi government is leaving no stone unturned to arrest the spread of coronavirus to contain Covid-19 pandemic in India. Now, Modi government has launched a new initiative in view of coronavirus. According to a latest development, Modi government will now do Telephonic Survey by calling citizens on their mobile phones across the country. This is to be carried out by Government of India's National Informatics Centre (NIC) and calls will be coming to your mobile phones from 1921 number. So do make sure you pick up your phone and attend the call.

Government has said public is being informed that it is a genuine survey and are requested to participate in good measure when a call comes in from 1921 to enable proper feedback on Covid-19.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dr Harsh Vardhan-led Ministry of Health & Family Welfare launched a new initiative for public convenience. Modi government onboarded Twitter Seva to help Indians with speedy resolution to their health-related queries.

Announcing the big development, Dr Harsh Vardhan posted on Twitter, "Launched @CovidIndiaSeva
 to respond to citizens' queries in real time! Experts will share authoritative public health information reg #COVIDー19 swiftly at scale, helping to build a direct channel for communication with citizens. Post your queries! #CovidIndiaSeva @PMOIndia."

India is currently under complete lockdown till May 3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14 had announced that the current lockdown will be extended till May 3, saying it is very necessary to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

In a televised address to the nation, Modi said implementation of the lockdown will be strictly ensured in coming days to ensure that the virus does not spread to new areas. He said India has managed to contain the spread of infection well due to its holistic approach in dealing with the crisis and sacrifices made by people of the country in the fight produced positive results.
