Covid 19 vaccination for 18 to 45 years: The government has allowed vaccination of all those above 18 years from May 1. The registration process for vaccination of eligible persons begins on April 28. It has been made mandatory for those aged between 18 and 45 years to register and take an appointment beforehand to get a COVID-19 vaccine jab as walk-ins will not be allowed initially, india.com quoted official sources saying this on Sunday. Ahead of the registration process, the government has released 5 steps guidelines, following which one can register themselves on Co-Win portal from April 28 onwards.

Here is how you can register on Co-Win portal  

Step 1: Go to Co-Win portal—cowin.gov.in 

Step 2: Register yourself from 28th April 2021 onwards. Schedule vaccination appointment 

Step 3: Vaccination facility for 18 to 45 years available only in private vaccination centres 

Step 4:  Check the confirmation of appointment on registered mobile number 

Step 5: Carry the appointment slip and photo ID card used for registration.  

Earlier, India logged a record 3,49,691 new coronavirus infections in a day taking it total tally of COVID-19 cases to 1,69,60,172, while active cases crossed the 26-lakh mark, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday. 

The death toll increased to 1,92,311 with a record 2,767  daily new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.  

Registering a steady increase, the active cases have increased to 26,82,751 comprising 15.82 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has further dropped to 83.05 per cent.
