Haryana Government has revised the prices of RT PCR tests in the state. If you are a resident of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonipat or any other district in the state this is what you must pay now for RTPCR tests. In the order dated 10 May 2021, the government has mandated this price for the RT PCR tests. RT PCR test are being done for the detection of Covid 19 virus.

The Haryana Government has now made it mandatory for the private hospitals, labs and their designated collection centres to not charge above Rs 450 for RT PCR tests, making it the maximum price. Meanwhile, for sample collections through home visits, the maximum price that could be charged is Rs 650.

The Government further warns the hospitals and labs to not charge over and above the prices fixed by it.

“It is also directed that No Private Laboratory should charge any amount more than as mentioned in the tables above for Covid 19 testing, inclusive of GST/Taxes (if any), cost involved in pickup, PPE, packing, transportation of samples, documentation and reporting in the state of Haryana,” the order said.

It has also instructed the hospitals and labs to adhere to guidelines mentioned in previous orders including testing protocols laid down by ICMR and Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) for Covid-19 testing.  

As per the information available on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) total number of active cases in the state stand at 107058 with 6075 deaths till now. Total number of people who have recovered till now stands at 539609.  

The Manohar Lal Khattar Government has been issuing orders related to the fixation of prices of from time-to-time. The orders with respect to fixation of prices were earlier issued on 19 June 2020, 21 August 2020, 28 August 2020, 2 October 2020, 7 October 2020 and 29 October 2020.  

Prior to the 10 May Order of 2021, an order on fixation of prices of RT PCR test was issued on 15 January 2021
