Delhi Capitals find themselves in a difficult spot after losing four games in a row ahead of the playoffs. Their last loss against Mumbai Indians makes the final league game against Royal Challengers Bangalore a quarter-final. After the Mumbai Indians game, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant met and had a candid chat. A picture of that moment was posted by the Mumbai Indians official Twitter handle.

“Still waiting for that six-hitting competition between Pant and Ro!” – the caption of the photo read.

In response to the tweet, former Indian cricketer  Yuvraj Singh took a jibe at the fitness of both the Indian players. “Or competition of fat percentage on there cheeks,” Singh tweeted in response.

Tagging Rohit’s wife Ritika, Yuvraj posted another tweet to the same thread: It’s like ro is saying to pant tere gaal jyada Motey hain ya mere ?

After Mumbai Indians won the toss, captain Kieron Pollard had asked Delhi Capitals to bat first and DC’s wicketkeeper-batsman Pant could only contribute a 24-ball 21 before falling to Jasprit Bumrah. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was still out of the game due to a hamstring injury. Following Saturday’s big defeat to the Mumbai Indians, by a margin of 9 wickets, DC skipper Shreyas Iyer said they will give their best against Virat Kohli's RCB in their final league stage game.

The loser of the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals will find themselves tied at 14 points with possibly more than one team. This will bring down the qualification to the Net Run Rate. This is if the Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Mumbai Indians in the final game of the league stage on Tuesday evening. If the David Warner-led side loses to Mumbai, then both RCB and DC will qualify for the next stage.
