Commando 3 box office collection day 3: Actor Vidyut Jammwal starrer 'Commando 3' has surprised everyone by picking up on the third day of release, after recording a relatively slow start. The action thriller earned close to Rs 8 crore on Sunday, taking its overall collection to Rs 18.33 crore by the end of weekend, becoming the best performing film in the franchise in the process. If movie critic, business analyst and influencer, Taran Adarsh is to be believed, the spike came from the multiplexes and not single screen cinemas where action thrillers are known to do well.

In the third instalment, Karanveer Singh Dogra (played by Vidyut Jammwal) is sent to London to stop a terrorist attack. What happens next, forms the rest of the story. Apart from Vidyut, the film features Gulshan Devaiah, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar in significant roles. The film was released on November 30 across a total of 2,456 screens in India and 283 screens worldwide.

The film faces tough competition at the box office from Anupam Kher-Dev Patel's 'Hotel Mumbai' and Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala. The latter continues to do well even its fourth week. "#Bala - playing at limited screens/shows - continues to attract ample footfalls over the weekend... [Week 4] Fri 65 lakhs, Sat 1.35 cr, Sun 1.71 cr. Total: ₹ 113.59 cr. #India biz," Adarsh said, in another tweet.
