CNG Price Hike: In a move that will increase cost of commute and further pinch the common man's pocket, the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) were hiked in the country on Saturday morning. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) today announced that it has hiked the retail price of CNG by 95 paise per kg. The new prices have come into effect from 6 am on December 17.

According to the gas company, the price of CNG has increased due to an increase in the cost of input gas.

Earlier, CNG was selling at the price of Rs 78.61 per kg in Delhi NCR, Rs 81.17 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad and Rs 86.94 per kg in Gurugram. Whereas, after the hike, CNG now costs Rs 79.56 per kg in Delhi while Rs 82.12 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. 87.89 per kg in Gurugram.

Revised CNG Price List:
Delhi  -  Rs 79.56 per kg
Noida  -  Rs 82.12 per kg
Greater Noida  -  Rs 82.12 per kg
Ghaziabad  -  Rs 82.12 per kg
Gurugram  -  Rs 87.89 per kg
Rewari  -  Rs 89.57 per kg
Karnal & Kaithal  -  Rs 88.22 per kg
Muzzaffarnagar  -  Rs 86.79 per kg
Shamli   -  Rs 86.79 per kg
Parts of Meerut   -  Rs 86.79 per kg
Ajmer -  Rs 89.83 per kg
Pali -  Rs 89.83 per kg
Rajasamand  -  Rs 89.83 per kg

However, the CNG retail price in Kanpur, Fatehpur and Hamirpur remains unchanged.

CNG prices hiked in October
Last time, the prices of CNG were changed on October 8 in the national capital and adjoining areas. According to IGL, CNG prices were increased by Rs 3. After this, the price of CNG was increased to Rs 78.61 per kg, which was earlier Rs 75.61 per kg.
