Closing Bell: On account strong global sentiments, the indian indices shot up around 2.25 per cent after the closing bell today. The BSE Sensex skyrocketed 813 points and closed at 37,361 levels while the NSE Nifty regained the psychological 11,000 levels after closing at 11,050 mark. Bank Nifty index soared 525 points and closed at 20,982 mark.

Speaking on the stock market trends Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi said today, "For traders, markt is negative till the NSE Nifty is closing below 11,150 mark and Bank Nifty is closing below 21,200. But for stock markt investors, buy on dips is teh right strategy and oen should accumulate on every dips for the next 5-6 weeks."

Shares of Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, Vinati Organics, Va Tech Wabag, Vakrangee, GMR Infrastructure, Reliance Power and Indiabulls Real Estate were among the leading gainers after the closing bell today while shares of Zensar Technologies, Central Bank of India, ICICI Securities, Union Bank of India, Brigade Enterprises, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited or HAL and Havells India were among the major losers after the closing bell trade session.

Telecom stocks attractd maximum buying as the BSE Telecom index shot up to the tune of 5.73 per cent after the closing bell today. Telecom major Vodafone Idea share price skyrocketed over 13 per cent, Bharti Airtel shares logged 4.98 per cent gains, shares of Tata Communications appreciated 5 per cent, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd or MTNL stocks added 2.82 per cent while Reliance Communications stock price went up 4.81 per cent.

IT stocks also witnessed strong buying trends throught the intraday trade session as the BSE IT index rose over 3.5 per cent. IT majorTata Consultancy Services or TCS share price shot up 3.89 per cent, Wipro shares soared to the tune of near 3.05 per cent, shares of Infosys jumped around 3.66 per cent, Ramco Systems share rose 4.99 per cent, Sonata Software stock price roared 3.90 per cent while Mastek stocks appreciated 3.46 per cent.

Among major Asian markets, the Japanese Nikkei scaled up 0.51 per cent, south Korean Kospi went up 0.27 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng went off 0.32 per cent while the Shanghai index lost 0.12 per cent in the opening bell today.

At Wall Stret yesterday, Dow Jones added 0.20 per cent, Nasdaq went up 0.37 per cent, S&P 500 index scaled up 0.30 per cent while Small Cap 2000 rose 0.23 per cent.
