CISF recruitment 2018: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) through a notification has invited applications from interested candidates to recruit 519 posts of Sub-Inspectors. According to the notification issued last week, the last date to submit application form is December 15, 2018. As the recruitment test will be through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), candidates are advised to submit their applications at the zonal DIsG. The eligible candidates will get only three chances to compete in the LDCE. For physical standards, candidates should check the official website: cisf.gov.in.

Eligibility criteria: As per the CISF notification, only Constable/GD, Head Constable /GD, and Constable/Tradesmen who have completed five years regular service, including the period of basic training in the grade or five years combined regular service as Constable/GD, Head Constable /GD, and Constable/Tradesmen as on August 1, 2018, are eligible to apply.
 
These candidates should also hold a graduation degree from a recognised university in India.
 
Age limit: The maximum age is 35 years as on August 1, 2018. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, there is relaxation of 5 years. The candidates are required to have a clean record. 
 
Selection process: The CISF will hold a written exam which will have OMR based question paper. The objective paper will have multiple choice questions comprising 200 marks. 
 
After written exams, physical measurement will be calculated and in the next stage physical efficiency test will take place, followed by a detailed medical examination.
 
The final selection of candidates will depend upon the merit list. General category candidates need to secure a minimum of 50 per cent marks, while SC/ST category applicants will have to secure 45 per cent.
