As Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch Chandrayaan 2 on July 22 (today), the space organisation praised Akshay Kumar's upcoming movie Mission Mangal. Directed by Jagan Shakti, 'Mission Mangal' is based on one of the biggest accomplishment in the country - Mars mission, called MOM (Mars Orbiter Mission). ISRO launched the Mangalyaan in 5 November 2013, which is a space probe orbiting Mars since 24 September 2014.

Akshay Kumar thanked ISRO for the appreciation and tweeted, ''Mission accomplished! Thank you so much for giving us such an inspiring story to tell, it’s been an absolute honour to have had this opportunity and I can say this on behalf of all the actors & team of #MissionMangal.''

July 22, today is also a big day for ISRO, as we are all set to witness the launch of second Moon landing mission, Chandrayaan 2. The organisation completed the launch rehearsal of GSLVMkIII-M1/ Chandrayaan-2 on Saturday and the performance was normal. Chandrayaan-2 launch was called off due to a technical snag on July 15, 2019 and was rescheduled at 2.43 p.m. IST on Monday, July 22, 2019.
