CBSE Alert: In a bid to cut down pressure on the students the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to nix 'Failed' tag being given to the students. From now onwards, there will be no 'Failed' written on the CBSE marks sheet. The CBSE has decided to sue 'Compartmental' instead of 'Failed' in the CBSE marks sheets from now onwards. The CBSE has reportedly also asked from its school principals and regional offices to decide on the replacement terms that can be used on the CBSE mark sheets. This new policy of the CBSE to give relief to the CBSE students under huge mental pressure is expected to be finalised soon.

The CBSE is of the opinion that using 'harsh' words on the marks sheet puts students under huge mental pressure that may affect their mental status and health. Sometimes, this mental pressure rises to such a level where a student decides to even suicide or harm themselves by another way. Students do that because they fail to cope with the mental pressure, which they are feeling these days. CBSE is aiming to nix 'Failed' word from its marks sheet and save students from any kind of mental ailments.

With this decision, the CBSE hopes to save students from developing any kind of fear from the major exams. They believes that it would help them shape their career in the long-term. Apart from this, students often start suffering from clinical depression because of the impact of such negative words being mentioned in their marks sheet.

Currently, CBSE writes 'Fail' for those students who fail in more than two subjects while they write 'Compartmental' on the marks sheet of those students who fail in up to two subjects. If CBSE implements its new proposal to do away with 'Fail', then other terms will be used in place of these two to reduce the mental pressure on students.
