Soon, getting an Aadhaar will become more easy. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) today said that it has planned to open Aadhaar Seva Kendra similar to Passport Seva Kendra in 53 cities across India.

4.24 pm: The cost of the project of setting up 'Aadhaar Seva Kendras' has been estimated at around Rs 300-400 crore.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) plans to set up 'Aadhaar Seva Kendras', similar to the concept of Passport Seva Kendras, covering 53 cities across India at an estimated project cost of Rs 300-400 crore, official sources said.

4.10 pm: Honda launches new CR-V, prices start Rs 28.15 lakh

Honda has today launched all new 5th generation Honda CR-V in India,  priced between Rs 28.15 lakh and Rs 32.75 lakh (ex-showroom). For the first time, Honda has introduced diesel powertrain to the CR-V line-up in India. The two-wheel drive petrol variant of the new CR-V has been priced at Rs 28.15 lakh. The diesel variant with two-wheel drive option is priced at Rs 30.65 lakh while the trim with all-wheel drive (AWD) option is tagged at Rs 32.75 lakh.

4.00 pm: SC sent 3 Amrapali directors to police custody

The Supreme Court Tuesday sent three directors of the Amrapali group to police custody, directing them to hand over all the documents of the 46 group companies to forensic auditors. A bench of Justices Arun Mishra and U U Lalit took exception to the Amprapali group not handing over all the documents to forensic auditors and said that they will remain in police custody till they hand over all the documents.
