What are Electronic Ticketing Machines? How it helps?

By means of Electronic Ticketing Machines, a ticket can be bought through:-

- Cash
- Credit Cards
- Debit  Cards
- Smart Cards

Reportedly, around 15,000 Electronic Ticketing Machines are set to be introduced.

Moreover, in addition to the decision related to Electronic Ticketing Machines, the UPSRTC board has approved the new policy of Telescopic Fare System (TFS).

Under this system, passengers in long-distance travel will benefit from a reduction in the ticket prices.

New ticket prices will be applied as a three-month trial on some routes, and if the concept goes well it will be implemented in long-distance routes too.

The decisions are expected to benefit passengers immensely.
