Economic Survey comes just a day before the budget is presented. This means that the government will be putting out the Economic Survey on 31 January. It is presented before the Indian Parliament.

It has everything that comes under the economy. It also has information regarding the economic policies of the government. This includes what all have been done by the government, the current Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the numbers regarding the IIP (Index of Industrial Production).

The Economic Survey is put before the Parliament and it is believed that the Budget of any financial year is based on the economic survey though the Budget may not contain everything as per the Economic Survey. The Chief Economic Advisor of the Prime Minister also gives his suggestions.

Economic Survey has a big importance and it is also important to analyse the economic situation on the basis of the survey.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be presenting the Budget 2021 on 1 February.
