The Union Budget, which is also termed as annual financial statement of the government, includes planned sales volumes and revenues, resource quantities, costs and expenses, assets, liabilities and cash flows. To make it pro-people and participative, the government invites ideas and suggestions, if you also want to put forth your idea for Union Budget 2019-2020, just visit www.mygov.in and write your suggestion. Notably, the last date for submissions on this forum is 20th June 2019.
 
According to the website, "In order to make the Union Budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Ministry of Finance has sought inputs from citizens for the last several years. This year too, the Ministry looks forward to hearing from you on your suggestions for the Union Budget which will be presented in the Parliament in the upcoming session."

Citizens from all walks of life have been asked to be a part of this democratic exercise, and submit their suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document, stated the website, adding "We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations."

When you open the website, you first need to login to submit your comment. By 5.30 pm, the website was showing about 12000 submissions. A few significant submissions are given here:

One Pradeep Kumar TV drew the attention of the government on imposing a tax on doctor's income and said, "Please control government doctors, private doctors especially dental practitioners they have no accounts there revenue is very high they have no GST registration please control there business and money." 

KC Siddalingamuthy requested the government to "remove GST from Life insurance schemes because these schemes are social security schemes." 

Suryakant P Mahale urged Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to "Reduce the diesel price which will reduce the prices" and cited the problem faced by those involved with MSMES, and urged her to facilitate the repayment of GST in lesser period of time as "MSMES work on thin margins and they contribute a lot in employment generation. So make a software so that once material is sold the refund money has to go directly to sellers account."

You can also submit your suggestion to the government, but do it before June 20, 2019.
