Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has off late revised many of its broadband plans due to sudden onslaught of Reliance Jio, which comes with lucrative data-voice offerings. The state-owned telco has revised its entry-level BB249 which comes at Rs 249/month.
 
The telco is now offering 15GB of FUP data allowance under its revised BB249 plan. Earlier, BSNL offered 5GB data under the same plan. This change will be effected across the country from September 1. 
 
Besides the increased data allowance, the telco is also offering 8Mbps till the FUP limit is reached after that the speed would be reduced to 1Mbps, with no caps on downloads and usage. This plan also offers unlimited voice calling facility from 10:30 PM to 06:00 AM everyday along with other benefits. 
 
BSNL is also offering an optional yearly rental plan under the BB249 offer. The customers can pay Rs 2,739 for eleven months and the 12th month rental would be free.

Recently, BSNL has also revised its Rs 699 plan which will offer faster downloads and higher FUP. Since this plan is available to Chennai circle users, the move will only benefit them for now. BSNL has similar plans for other circles as well, and the costs vary from Rs 695 to Rs 799.
 
BSNL has increased the FUP limit of Rs 699 to 700GB from earlier 100GB and has doubled the download speed to 20Mbps from 10Mbps.
