Box office collections: 2019 has been an extraordinary year for the film industry. While stars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have continued to dominate the ticket windows, the last six months have been unbelievably good for new-gen actors and content-driven films that are able to rake in limited amount otherwise. Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' set new standards for both actors and film lovers while Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh 'fever' gripped the nation in a manner never-seen-before by other major films.

Now, as we move towards the second half of the year, you can expect more blockbusters from the industry. The next 2 months mark the release of some very important films and film trade analyst, critic and influencer Sumit Kadel believes that at least five of them will be Sure Shot HITS. In a tweet, Kadel said that both Mission Mangal and Batla House, releasing on August 15 this year would be hits. Last year, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham had clashed on the Independence Day with Gold and Satyamev Jayate, with both films doing exceptionally well at the box office.

The third film Kadel believes would be a sure-fire hit is Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho. This will be Prabhas' first release after Bahubali: The Conclusion and will be release across different languages. The film is set to hit theatres on August 30 and has taken almost two years to make.

The other two films on the list include multi-starrer Chhichhore and Ayushmann Khurrana's much-awaited next Dream Girl. "Almost Sure Shot HITS in the month of August & September 2019 #MissionMangal #BatlaHouse #Saaho (Hindi) #Chhichhore #DreamGirl," Kadel's tweet read.

Kadel believes that Mission Mangal should earn around Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore on the first day.

''Mission Mangal is India's first space technology based movie. Both the trailers of film have fetched a wonderful response so far, people are eager to watch this patriotic movie from Akshay Kumar and the national holiday may help it earn Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore on opening day. The movie has created a buzz among audience, while the actual earnings will depend on the content it possesses," he told Zee Business Online.
