2.0 film advance booking has already given a hint of the success it is about to script. It has A record earning is well on cards for the film. Ahead of release 2.0 has already earned Rs 370 crore. BookMyShow has reportedly sold 1.2 mn tickets and that also pre-release!

Providing the good news to Rajinikanth fans, film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala has said that 2.0 has already broken the record of Vijay film Sarkar's day 1 earning in Chennai! That point alone will send fans into frenzied celebrations mode.

"In #Chennai city, #2Point0 takes All-time No.1 Opening for Day 1 - Rs 2.64 Crs.. It has beaten #Sarkar 's Rs 2.37 Crs set on #Diwali day," said Bala.

Bala also said that the film's gross earning in Hindi may be around Rs 25 crore on opening day.

However, 20.0 collection falls short of breaking Sarkar's day 1 earning record. Vijay starred had earned Rs 31 crore in Tamil Nadu on day 1 while the Thalaiva's 2.0 has managed to earn around Rs 20 crore, said AndhraBoxOffice in a tweet.

"Despite the Superb early mornings, #2Point0 fails to break Vijay's Opening Record in TN. Opens with around 20 Cr Gross which is lower than even Kabali. Not looking Good!," it said.

Rajinikanth's Kabali which was released in 2016 had earned Rs 21.5 crore in Tamil Nadu on day 1. If AndhraBoxOffice figures are to be believed, then the 2.0 has failed to stand up to the box office estimates.

However, since the movie was released on a working day i.e. Thursday, it won't be looking back in the next few days and that means the only direction collections can go is upward!. Film trade analysts expect that the movie's earning will grow magnificently over the weekend boosted by the holiday as well as word of mouth.
