For the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, making a mix of its nationalist agenda along with offers to attract the public as well as farmers, the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its poll manifesto, which it says is actually a 'Sankalp Patra' and not a manifesto. It vows to scrap special status for Jammu & Kashmir. Also, it says that 75 new medical colleges and postgraduate colleges will be established, Rs 6,000 yearly income support to farmers and pension to small and marginal farmers above 60 years of age, as well as spend Rs 25 lakh crore on rural development over the next five years, etc.

Key features of the BJP Sankalp Patra are as follows:

1] Commitment towards implementation of the Uniform Civil Code;

2] All alternative options will be explored for construction of Ram temple in a most conducive manner;

3] Passage of Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament with utmost respect to every state's cultural value;

4] Promise to spend Rs 25 lakh crore on rural development in the next five years;

5] To give Rs 6,000 yearly income support to farmers and pension to small and marginal farmers above 60 years of age;

6] 75 new medical colleges and postgraduate colleges will be established;

7] To scrap special status for Jammu & Kashmir;

8] Strike capabilities of armed forces to be strengthened by giving them modern equipment;

9] 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament; and

10] To revise income tax brackets if re-elected.

So, the BJP's poll manifesto is aimed at attracting the first-time voters through nationalist vision while income tax bracket, pension scheme to the farmers aims to attract middle class and the rural section of the society, which were the toll that helped BJP scale to 282 in 2014 Lok Sabha Polls.
