BJP list of candidates in Haryana Assembly Polls: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released its full list of candidates for Haryana assembly polls. The BJP list included big names like state chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar who will be contesting from Karnal, wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt who will be contesting from Baroda, ex-hockey captain Sandeep Singh from Pehowa, and wrestler Babita Phogat will contest from Dadri. The list comes a day after the party had conducted a Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting which was chaired by BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

This meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as working president JP Nadda. The part candidates for both Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections were finalised during the CEC on Sunday. Seven existing MLAs were not given a ticket while 38 sitting MLAs were given a ticket. The saffron party also gave tickets to nine women and two Muslim candidates.
