Bihar Unlock News Today: The Bihar government has decided to relax the lockdown restrictions further. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has tweeted about the relaxations that are being granted. The Bihar CM said that the status of COVID-19 has been reviewed and certain relaxations to the lockdown restrictions have been taken.

Kumar tweeted from his official Twitter handle, "The status of Covid was reviewed. In view of the improvement in the situation of corona infection, all shops, establishments, shopping malls, parks, gardens and religious places will be able to open normally."

 

The Bihar CM has further informed that with the necessary permission from the district administration, events can be organised with the necessary precautions. Nitish Kumar put up a chain of tweets regarding the instructions on the relaxations. In one of his tweets, he wrote, "With the permission of the district administration, all types of social, political, entertainment, sports, cultural and religious events can be organized with the required precautions."

 

The Bihar Chief Minister has also ordered all educational institutions and coaching centres to reopen normally. He tweeted, "All universities, colleges, technical educational institutions and schools (from class I to XII) as well as coaching institutes will open normally. The examinations can be conducted by the universities, colleges, schools of the state."

 

The cinema halls, clubs, gyms, swimming pools, restaurants and eateries can reopen with 50 per cent capacity. However, due to the possibility of a third wave, all the citizens of the state have been advised to follow proper COVID-19 behaviour. Kumar tweeted, "Cinema halls, clubs, gyms, swimming pools, restaurants and eateries (with visitors) will be able to open with 50% capacity. But in view of the possibility of third wave, it is necessary for all of us Biharis to take precautions with covid friendly behavior."

 

It has to be noted that the state-wide lockdown in Bihar was announced on May 5, 2021, due to the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
