CBSE Board exams 2020: A big announcement for all class 10 and 12 CBSE board (Central Board of Secondary Education) students has been made. The CBSE has announced that it will be conducting pending examinations of class 10th and class 12th students, but only after assessing the lockdown situation.

CBSE Board has released a press release and also tweeted about the CBSE Board exams. CBSE on Wednesday said, "Recently there has been a lot of speculation regarding CBSE Class 10th board exams. It is reiterated that the board`s decision to hold the exams for 29 subjects of Class 10 and 12 stands the same as mentioned in the circular dated April 1, 2020."
Refuting the rumours about the cancellation of the board examinations, the HRD Ministry said that as soon as the situation becomes normal, the board examinations of Class 10 and 12 will be conducted.

Clearing the doubts of class 10th and class 12th students, the board clarified that complete cancellation of exams is not being considered by the CBSE.

In a press release, the boards noted, " With regards to conduct of class X examinations several queries are being received by the CBSE. In this context, it is once again reiterated that reaming examinations of Class X as stated in the Press release dated 01.04.2020 will be conducted by CBSE. It is once again clarified that adequate time of 10 days will be given to all students before starting the examinations. Therefore there is no change in the position  continues as per information given vide Press Release dated 01.04.2020.

Earlier on April 1st the board tweeted, "With regard to rescheduling board examinations for classes 10 and 12, it is informed that at this stage it is difficult for the Board to decide and announce the new schedule for examinations. However, it is informed that any decision that the board will take with regard to the conduct of examinations will be taken by undertaking extensive consultation with higher education authorities and by keeping all aspects related to entrance exams, admissions dates, etc. in mind. In this context, it is further informed that the Board will give notice of about 10 days to all stakeholders before starting the Board examinations."

Notably, the Board will conduct examinations for only main subjects that will be required for promotion and which are crucial for admissions to higher educational institutions.
