In a big convenience to Aadhaar card users, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has started a Twitter service. This means if you have any query related to Aadhaar, you can tweet them to the Twitter handle Aadhaar Help Centre - @Aadhaar_Care. This Twitter query service is an additional service with the existing customer services available on phone, email id or Aadhaar help and service centres. This move by UIDAI is expected to help Aadhaar subscribers big time.

Order Aadhaar Reprint Service

Recently, UIDAI had tweeted, "Using the #OrderAadhaarReprint service will not update your new mobile number in your Aadhaar details. You will have to visit Aadhaar Kendra for mobile no. update with mandatory biometric authentication. Get details of nearby Aadhaar Kendra from: https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/easearch.aspx."

According to UIDAI, Order Aadhaar Reprint Service is available on http://uidai.gov.in or from your mAadhaar App for a nominal charge of Rs.50/- (inclusive of GST & speed post charges). The payment can be made using Credit/ Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

"Order Aadhaar Reprint" request can be raised by visiting the UIDAI Official Website or Resident Portal using 12 digits Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digits Virtual Identification Number (VID). Registered Mobile Number, where OTP/TOTP will be received on Registered Mobile number
Non-Registered /Alternate Mobile Number, where OTP will be received on Non-Registered/ Alternate Mobile number.

UIDAI says that please note, this service ("Order Aadhaar Reprint") is NOT for updating/ changing mobile number. This is order Aadhaar reprint service. You need to visit an Aadhaar Kendra to update your mobile number with mandatory biometric authentication.

Download Aadhaar 

Earlier, UIDAI had made it clear that one cannot download Aadhaar without Aadhaar registered mobile number. However, you can order Aadhaar reprint. As per a tweet by UIDAI, "You cannot download your Aadhaar if you do not have Aadhaar registered mobile number. But you can #OrderAadhaarReprint from: https://resident.uidai.gov.in/order-reprint or your mAadhaar App This service will not update your mobile number. You will have to visit Aadhaar Kendra for mobile no. update."
