Bhupendra Patel is new Gujarat Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) legislature party leader and will succeed Vijay Rupani as the Chief Minster of the state. The Gujarat Legislature Party meeting was ongoing on Sunday to elect Vijay Rupani's successor as chief minister. Earlier, Deputy CM Nitin Patel had said that the leader "will have to be popular, strong, experienced, and the one who is known and acceptable to all" according to a PTI report.
