Raghuram Rajan will be stepping down as RBI governor on September 4, marking an end to his three-year term at the helm of the Indian central bank. As Rajan paves the way for the incoming RBI governor, Urjit Patel, to take his place in office, a Bengaluru-based food company, Zzungry, has come up with two special dishes to pay a tribute to the outgoing governor.

Zzungry's 'Rajan's Special' lists Ulundu kozhukattai and Kova kozhukattai, a savoury and a sweet dish to celebrate the legacy of the outgoing RBI Governor. 

Zzungry said that both the dishes, one inspired from Madhya Pradesh's cuisine, is Rajan's birth place, and the other, inspired from Tamil Nadu's cuisine, that "connects to Dr Rajan's origins," the company said. 

The dishes are priced at Rs 150 for the Ulundu kozhukattai, and Rs 100 for the Kova kozhukattai, and are limited edition. The dishes will be available on the menu from August 26 to September 2. 

The Ulundu kozhukattai, "The Savoury dish (Ulundu kozhukattai) is a delectable savoury rice flour dumpling stuffed with medium spicy mixture of urad dal, tempered with curry leaves and spices, steamed and served with chutney," Zzungry said. 

The Kova kozhukattai, "The sweet dish (Kova kozhukattai) is a sweet rice flour dumpling stuffed with cardamom flavoured mixture of khoya with dry fruits, simmered in rose flavoured milk, that is served as a dessert," it said. 

After September 4, Raghuram Rajan will return back to academia. He will take back his job as the professor of finance at the Chicago Booth School of Business, from where he has been on leave for the last three years.
