Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Ahmedabad-Ayodhya IndiGo Flight: Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister VK Singh, along with other senior officials launched the first tri-weekly flight between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya on Thursday (January 11, 2024). The footage of the airport showed devotees dressed as Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman celebrating at the Ahmedabad Airport along with airport staff and other passengers.

Scindia said, "Uttar Pradesh had only 6 airports in 2014, and now the state has 10 airports, including Ayodhya airport. By the next year, UP will have 5 more airports. One airport each in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot will be inaugurated in the next month. An international-level airport will also be ready in Jewar by the end of this year.

"We started the first flight between Ayodhya and Delhi on 30th December operated by IndiGo and Air India Express. Today we are going to connect Ayodhya with Ahmedabad," Scindia was quoted as saying by ANI.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath joined the minister's officials to flag off the first tri-weekly flight between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya in Lucknow on Thursday. The 'Pran Pratishtha' of the Ram Temple will be held on January 22. Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony.
